Welcome to Artistic Birth Doula Services where you are the creator of your birth experience. Your pregnancy and childbirth are events that you will remember for a lifetime and you will replay the memories over and over again. Now is the time to prepare your vision and do everything you can to make them what you hope to remember. When you know your choices, you have options. This is where a Doula is beneficial. She is trained to provide evidence based and unbiased information so that you have the facts to make decisions.
The word Doula (doo-la) comes from Greek and is translated to “woman servant.” A Doula is a professionally trained, non-medical person who assists a woman physically and emotionally during childbirth. She provides information so that the mother may make informed decisions during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum.
Pregnancy and childbirth are a beautiful, yet uncertain, time in life. This is true whether this is your first baby or your tenth. You may not know where to start or even what you should be looking for. You may be fearful and seek guidance. You may know exactly what you want but are unsure how to get it. You may just be looking for extra support.
I believe that all parents are entitled to and deserve to have complete, caring, and continuous support in regards to the type and the setting of birth they choose. Whether you choose medicated or un-medicated, hospital or home, I support your choices.
