To DIP or not to DIP….. So, what is this dip thing we keep hearing about? In short, it’s acrylic. Unlike traditional acrylic, it has little odor since it doesn’t use traditional monomer (liquid) to apply. Instead, the dip consists of applying a resin (glue) to the nail and dipping the finger into acrylic powder to coat the nail. This is done several times to achieve the desired (or in some cases) not so desired look. Why would I want this? We’re not sure.
